Muckross Lake Self-guided Loop Walk for Families 

This self-guided and free event, one of the most popular family walks in Killarney National Park, is this loop around the beautiful Muckross Lake, with stunning views of Killarney National Park, this is a 2hr 10km loop suitable for all ages and fitness levels.

Muckross Lake walk is a family-friendly and buggy-friendly local favourite and a must-do trail for visitors to Kilarney. An easy-graded low-level walk, the beauty of the surrounding hills and mountains just adds to the splendour that is Killarney National Park.

Safety, Clothing & Food

• This hike is a relatively easy 10km in total, suitable for adults and children.   
• The loop is buggy-friendly and wheelchair-accessible (except after severe rains).
• Rain gear and hats are always useful to carry as weather can be unpredictable.
• Always good to bring water, food and snacks...... and sunscreen!
