Kirtan & Ceol

Killarney House & Gardens - Demesne, Killarney, Co. Kerry, Ireland

An uplifting evening of mantra, music, and collective connection, this heart-opening Kirtan invites festival-goers to experience the power of shared voice and sacred sound.

Kirtan Gaelach is an Irish take on the call-and-response devotional chanting practice from India known as Kirtan. This workshop will feature chants as Gaelinn (in the Irish language) led by Jenny Ní Ruiséil accompanied by meditative traditional Irish based music played by Caoimhín Mac Uaid on a variety of instruments.

No singing experience is needed - just a willingness to listen, to feel and to join in.  Jenny Ní Ruiséil is a yoga teacher, musician and Irish speaker originally from Kildare who teaches and practices traditional tantric hatha yoga through a somatic, inquiry-based lens, along with meditation & mantra.

Caoimhín Mac Uaid is a multi-instrumentalist, producer and singer from Bayside in North Dublin who fuses elements from the Irish tradition with contemporary textures and soundscapes. Kirtan is more than a concert, it is a communal experience of devotion, vibration and shared presence.

Come to sing, to sit, to sway or simple soak in the magic.
