Echoes of Earth & Water
This tour will showcase the rich natural and cultural heritage of Killarney National Park while offering an engaging and accessible outdoor experience.
The tour would begin with a scenic boat journey on the Lakes of Killarney, to the historic island Inisfallen Island. Upon arrival, you will enjoy a guided tour of the island, exploring the historic monastic ruins and learning about Inisfallen’s significance as one of Ireland’s most important early centres of learning. The peaceful setting provides a unique opportunity to connect with both nature and history in a truly special location.
Following the guided island visit, you will return to Ross Island. Here, participants will disembark to enjoy a guided nature trail walk of approximately one hour (3km). This walk will take in woodland paths, lakeshore scenery, and the historic copper mines of Ross Island, offering insight into Ireland’s Bronze Age mining heritage alongside the island’s diverse flora and fauna.
Wander Wild Festival works with selected local outdoor service providers to deliver our outdoor activities. In order to participate in these activities, participants will be required to provide information about those participating in the event and to comply with the service provider’s terms and conditions.
