How Stories Are Born: A Family Folklore Walk with Children’s Author Barry Coleman
Before stories were written down, they were discovered, in trees, stones, water and quiet places.
On this guided folklore walk through Killarney National Park, families will explore how Irish stories were shaped by the natural world. Through simple prompts and playful observation, children will learn how to turn what they see, hear and feel into stories of their own.
Barry will share a selection of local myths and folklore along the route, before closing with a short reading from The Lost Harp.
